It was about 12 years after she took a night course at The School of Visual Arts in New York City on Children’s Book Illustration that Penny finally decided to get into the business. She quickly signed with Wendy Mays and Janice Onken to be represented by WendyLynn & Company, and she is happy to announce three picture books to be released in the next two years. One for Tilbury House slotted for release in May of 2010, one for Raven Tree Press, on tap for early 2011 and one for First Person Publishing available November of 2009. Penny has also illustrated three books for the educational market and various magazine and independent publishers.
Penny has a husband, three children and a cat and she is heavily lobbying for a puppy.

Penny Weber is a full time children’s illustrator from Long Island, New York, where she’s lived all of her life. She works mostly in acrylics, gouache and colored pencils. Penny's path has included greeting card illustration, residential children’s murals, and commissioned caricatures and portraits (all of which she still dabbles in today).
